Photos of painted figures
Al Lafleche

La Fleche 5918th_Georgia.jpg (59205 bytes) LaFleche 591J_Buford.jpg (56915 bytes) LaFleche 591US_Grant.jpg (54161 bytes) LaFleche 5911st_Md_Guard.jpg (44054 bytes) LaFleche 5916th_AK.jpg (64183 bytes)  LaFleche scarecrow dio 2.jpg (44548 bytes)  Al's 54 mm collection with figures from United Empire, Pegaso, El Viejo & Michael Roberts Ltd., Shenandoah.

01 Andrea.jpg (56683 bytes)  moment in time.jpg (54272 bytes)  The 2 additions (added 5/28/05) on left are as follows:  left photo depicts Andrea's Comanche 1850 with added feathers and trains to the shield (sweet!); the photo on right depicts Michael Roberts vignette "Moment in Time" (sculpted by Alan Ball) with reworked roach and real feathers and Historex debris in stream (nice conversion work on both!)  Both are in 54 mm scale.  Thanks Al!

Pegaso Iroquois.jpg (63329 bytes)  This photo (added 2/26/06) on left depicts Pegaso's Iroquois Native American propped on a Bayardi boulder.  Creative conversion work includes added hair decoration and real feathers!  Thanks Al!

french marine front.jpg (52113 bytes)  This photo (added 8/4/06) depicts La Merdiana's Compagnie Franche de la Marine.  painted primarily in Andrea and Vallejo acrylics with some oil washes. The stump is from Bayardi. References (internet and Don Troiani's Soldiers in North America, show differences in the hat, plain, with a yellow border and tassel and/or with a Fleur de Lys emblem on the front.  Thanks Al!

These photos (added 9/29/07) feature Native Americans by EMI (Sitting Bull) & Seil (mounted Crow warrior).   Both are painted primarily in acrylics with some selected use of oils and enamels. Sitting Bull has “horsehair” plume decorations made from painted thread and the Crow has the kit’s foil fringe material replaced with wine bottle foil for a more in-scale appearance.  Thanks Al!

Al's "busting out" with these new additions added 12/30/10.  using the theme of Native Americans, these wonderfully painted busts include Young Miniatures" Sioux and Blackfoot Raven Bearer, The Lost Battalion Cheyenne, and La Meridiana's Huron.  Notice the improvement in some of the subtleties in Mr. LaFleche's work during these past 5-6 years?  Look at the detail of the artwork in the last two photos (on the right) depicting Young Miniatures' Blackfoot Raven.  Better than the Young box art for this model?  Thanks Al!

Bryant Kincaid

wpeF.jpg (29229 bytes)  wpe13.jpg (19066 bytes)  Bryant's well-done rendition of Shenandoah's Iron Brigade vignette.

Larry Klein

Larry Klein Appomatox1.jpg (49805 bytes) Larry's magnificent conversion of the Surrender at Appomatox is an example of why his commission work is very popular amongst collectors, under his company's name "Moments in Time".  We use Larry to paint some of our box art on our own releases!  Click here to e-mail Larry  for quotations on commission work.  More of Larry's work:

194.JPG (41510 bytes) 195.JPG (38664 bytes)  These two photos, taken from Tom's extensive collection of Zouaves, depict a Richmond Zoauve & a Wheat's Tiger Zouave.  They represent the latest of Tom's work that include 200 Civil War figures, 50 of which are Zouave regiments!  Posted 12/30/09.
