- The 144th PA Zouave standard bearer is a modified Shenandoah Zouave carrying a Shenandoah flag.

- The Captain Jack Sparrow bust (depicted the Johnny Depp character from the movie "Pirates of the Carribean) is based on the El Viejo Dragon "Pirate of the Carribean" bust.  The bust was stripped down to a bare manaquin and rebuilt, keeping only the basic pose.  All details were redone.  The hair (hair, dreadlocks, braids, ponytails, etc.) is made from fine wire.

- The diorama "Covered With Glory" depicts the charge of the 26th North Carolina on the first day of the battle of Gettysburg and is inspired by the Don Troiani painting "The Boy Colonel".  It consists of 14 figures, 12 Shenandoah and 2 Wolf.  However, all heads, weapons, and equipment are Shenandoah parts.  Every figure has been detailed or converted to some degree.

- The Laurel and Hardy figures are old Cameo miniatures castings.  They are painted in black and white - the photo is a colored photo.

- The stone age hunters fighting the cave bear is a five figure set from Nemrod

- The Union Infantry Officer is the new Soldiers piece.

- The 3 photos on right depict a diorama of a gun of the 9th Mass at Trostle farm on the second day of the battle of Gettysburg.  The mounted officer is one of the section commanders, Lt Erickson (Drummerboy Miniatures figure with slight conversion of horse legs).

- The additions (added 7/24/05), which are the 4 photos on the far right are both larger scale figures, including The Lost Battalion's Continental ("Spirit of Liberty") 100 mm scale kit and PiliPili's Highlander Clansman (120 mm scale)...excellent work!

-Additions added 10/28/06, which are listed below, are a vignette "Sioux War Party" that depict 3 of the Andrea mounted Sioux Warriors (54 -mm scale), with various conversion work added. Bravo, Kevin!

-Addition added 9/1/07, photo below.  "Last Stand" is a 1/24th scale diorama depicting some of the final moments of the Battle of the Little Big Horn.  Although Kevin used the entire Fusilier stock series for the figures, it most be noted that every figure contains extensive conversions, and several figures were added that were scratch built (also contain parts from some of the Fusilier kits).  Perhaps one of the finest depictions of this battle we've ever seen in miniature, our only comment is a quotation from one of the Indiana Jones movies...."it belongs in a museum!".  It doesn't get any better than this!  Thank you Kevin.

Addition added 5/10/08, photo below.  "Death of Tecumseh" is a 54-mm scale diorama depicting a Time Machine kit with the addition of the pine tree (using Hudson & Allen pine boughs to create the realistic effect).

Kevin does not do commission work, but welcomes any e-mails for comments, discussion, or questions.

Kenneth Yeo Chye Whatt

Kenneth's scratch built diorama is truly a work of art.  The vignette is based on the World War 2 Italian army in the Tunisian desert campaign. The heads are a mix of Model Victoria and Historex, the hands and feet a mix of Hornet and Historex, the palm trees are from SOL Models, the water from Vallejo's 'Still Water' water product. The rest are sculpted from 2-part epoxy putty and Duro, paper clip wire and bits of plastic body parts as a base. The bottles and box are from Calibre 35 and the newspapers from Plus Models. Groundwork is from Celluclay, white glue, Talus, reindeer moss, dried seaweed, static grass and some coloured powder. All items were painted with Vallejo acrylics.  The figure in the khaki turban is a Dubati, an African auxillary fighting for the Italians. Also included are a sculpted chameleon, a jerboa and a desert lizard.  See if you can spot them !

Kenneth Yeo Kenneth Yeo.jpg (44318 bytes)Kenneth's heavy conversion "Birdman of Badojoz" (Peninsular War vignette depicting rifleman of the 2nd Light Battalion, KGL).  The figure is made from 2-part epoxy putty. The basic torso was made from the old Airfix Coldstream Guardsman figure set, as was the socket bayonet. The waterbottle is another Airfix item(heavily modified) and the cartridge pouch is from Historex (heavily modified). The figure head is from Hornet, the hands are from Verlinden, and the boots, mug and Brown Bess musket are from Michael Roberts Ltd. The rest of the figure is from putty and some thin wire. The flying birds are a cool new item from Minie' Ball miniatures (Flying Quails). The house ruin and wooden bucket are from Armand P. Bayardi and the broken pot is an item from Wolf miniatures.  (Edit, cut, paste!)
