Luca Gioia
These gems come to us from Italy, featuring Italian artist/painter Luca's
rendition of Stonewall Jackson (54 mm scale figure by manufacturer FM
Beneito). and Carabinierie Parucadadista (EMI)
These figures, added 10/1/06 represent the latest American history art
works from Luca...great work!

Don Griffin
This complete diorama of a couple of Union artillery crews (added 2/26/06)
comes to us from accomplished figure painter Don Griffin. The
incredible detail of this scene includes many additions of accessories
that help make the dio and tell a story. For example, the playing
cards in the bottom left of the photo suggest the arty crews were ordered
to their posts in a hurry! The figures are the 54-mm scale
Drummerboy Miniatures artillery crew. It doesn't get any better than
this! Thanks for the photo, Don.

David Haslup
David's
collection of diorama works, all in 54-mm scale is quite impressive (think
of the line form the Indiana Jones movie..."it belongs in a museum").
David has utilized good imaginitive historical scenes of the Civil War and
has mixed quite a number of figure lines such as Shenandoah, Imrie Risley,
Des Kit, Drummerboy Miniatures, etc. Thanks for sharing! (added
9/29/07)
We've updated Dave's gallery on 2/24/09. This new wide variety of
Civil War scenes include IR's McClellan vignette (based on actual photo);
Lee at gettysburg; Culps Hill, etc. Thanks for the eye candy, Dave!

Joe Hudson
Joe has been building quite a reputation for both his painting skills and
sculpting skills. These 2 beauties represent his original
"French Creole" in 54-mm scale, as well as Art Girona's
Continental Marine (both contain Bayardi barrels). Joe's latest addition is Time Machine's 54-mm scale wounded Zouave (NY
5th). Interesting touch by addition of corporal stripes and NCO
yellow piping on uniform! |
Stephen Jamison
First photo depicts Stephen's conversion of Michael Robert's mannequin bust ("Old
Bill") features a rendition of Chippewa Chief No-Tin, based on the
artwork of McKenney Hall in 1827. The face was reworked to achieve
the chief's likeness. The clothing, feathers etc all modeled in
Magic Sculpt. The face is painted in oils the rest in
acrylics. 2nd photo (newer addition which was added 4/14/06)
represents the Creek warrior Ho-Po-Eth-Le-Yo-Ho-Lo circa 1836 during the
Seminole War (also an "Old Bill' conversion). 3rd photo (added
4/19/06) may represent Stephen's best work yet. It is another
"Old Bill" bust conversion representing Tah-Ro-Hon an Ioway
Warrior circa 1845. Excellent sculpting job, Stephen!
